College Station Trip 6/4/2011

Saturday we took a spontaneous trip to College Station to watch the Aggies play baseball. I must admit, I was pretty excited. While I was interested in sports when I went to college there, baseball just wasn't my thing. I went to every home football game and even some basketball games, but I never went to a baseball game. This was my first baseball game at Olsen Field. The first thing we did when we got there was eat at the Chicken Oil Co. I had to have some Tijuana fries! After that, we went to campus and walked around for a bit. I love taking my kids on campus. I love sharing stories about my college experience with them. We went to the book store and bought everyone a t-shirt. Then it was game time! We got to Olsen Field about an hour before the game started. It was 104 degrees outside and we were melting! However nothing beats the experience of an Aggie baseball game. It was amazing! We beat Seton Hall 6-3. Although it was a long trip home, we had an awesome time. We can't wait to go again! I put together a slide show of pictures. I hope you enjoy them!

First Post

I have never been one to want to tell the world the things that are going on in my family. Not that I have anything to hide, I just never thought that my life was so interesting that someone else might be interested in it. However, I started my own blog for a college class I was taking for my masters degree and decided that I would like to have a place to post our pictures and adventures. So here I am. We are the Hancock family, Scott, Holly, Kyle and Ruby. I am a librarian at an elementary school (not for much longer), Scott is a sales manager for Banker's Life. We are both Aggies. We met at A&M. We bleed maroon. Our son is named for the football and baseball fields there. Our son is just finishing the 5th grade and our daughter just finished 1st. We spend a lot of time at baseball games. My husband bought us a really nice camera for our 13th anniversary (which happens to be today) and we plan on taking lots of pictures. We have a few adventures planned for this summer and I want to post these on my new blog. I hope you enjoy!
